The STEM Cup is a Dynamic national maths challenge based on the real-world career of Collingwood Football Club’s Capologist which is part of the the Australia Day of STEM initiative. STEM Cup is also supported by the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers (AAMT)

How It Works

  1. Students register & explore Capologist journey, and the IoT Architect and Data Scientist, and then run the Capologist Field Trip.
  2. Students select their “dream roster” for the 2018 season by assigning player salaries based on 2017 performance statistics.
  3. Goal: Select the best Collingwood team roster while keeping the team’s total salaries under the cap.
  4. Results compared automatically to those of CFC Capologist mentor
  5. Student rankings indicated on CFC Capologist Leaderboard
  6. Top students receive national recognition from CFC and AAMT
